JSS College of Pharmacy invites applications for the post of Project Assistant for a two-year research project on the anti-cancer properties of Kottakal Formulation. The selected candidate should have an M.Pharm degree in Pharmacology and Biotechnology and MSc in Biotechnology or Zoology with prior research experience and expertise in small animal handling, toxicity studies, and molecular assays.
JSS College of Pharmacy was established in 1980 to provide job-oriented professional courses in Pharmacy. Applications are invited from eligible candidates for the post of Project Assistant for the project entitled “In Vitro anti-cancer, acute and 28 days repeated oral toxicity studies of “Kottakal Formulation,” sponsored by Arya Vaidya Sala, Kottakal, to JSS College of Pharmacy, JSS Academy of Higher Education & Research, Mysuru for two years.
Educational Qualification: M.Pharm (Pharmacology and Biotechnology) with first class MSc (biotechnology, Zoology)
Essential Experience :
- Candidate with a minimum of 1 to 2 years of research experience
- Publication in peer-reviewed or Scopus-indexed journals.
Desired skills
- Efficient in small animals’ maintenance and handling, acute and repeated dose toxicity studies, necropsy etc
- Basic of GLP
- Expertise in performing small animal surgery
- Expertise in performing rodent behavioural assessments
- Practical knowledge of molecular assays (Western blotting)
- Handling of maze software.
Project Tenure: 2 years
Stipend / Fellowship: The selected candidate has to join immediately and work for 2 years at the Centre for Experimental Pharmacology and Toxicology (CPT), JSS Academy of Higher Education & Research, Mysuru. The candidate will be paid a stipend of Rs. 10,000/- only.
