Job Description: Clarivate is seeking Associate Content Editors and Content Editors to join their PharmaChem team in Chennai or Hyderabad. The team is responsible for indexing and coding chemical compounds in patents for the Derwent Innovation product, which is used by leading R&D labs, universities, educational institutions, and pharmaceutical companies worldwide.
Key Requirements:
- B. Pharm / M. Pharm / M.Sc Chemistry / M.Sc Biochemistry graduates are welcome to apply.
- 0-2 or more years of experience in Chemistry or Pharma domain (not related to Research & Development).
- Good English communication skills, both oral and written.
Preferred Skills:
- Elementary proficiency in one or more foreign languages (e.g., German, French, Spanish, etc).
- Experience in patent analysis, chemical structure drawing using tools like ISIS Draw / Marvin JS, Markush, IUPAC nomenclature, complex chemical reactions, and knowledge about drugs and their human use.
- Content writing skills.
- Basic computer skills (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Responsibilities:
- Code and index chemical compounds present in patents according to Derwent Innovation’s policies and conventions.
- Achieve target volume deliverables with high efficiency and quality.
- Record performance against targets.
- Stay updated on current trends and new developments in the Pharma and Chemistry domains.
- Upskill in Pharma, Chemistry, Intellectual Property, Data Analysis, and other technical skills.
About the Team: The PharmaChem team at Clarivate, located in Chennai and Hyderabad, consists of 20+ members with varying levels of experience ranging from 0 to 15 years. The team includes Associate Content Editors and Content Editors who work together to index and code chemical compounds in patents for the Derwent Innovation product. The team reports to Content Managers in India or London.
