Job Description

1. Research Scientist-I (Scientist-B) – MRU

Essential Qualifications:

• For Medical: MBBS Degree with two years of Research/Teaching experience or MD in Microbiology/Pathology/PSM from a recognized University.
• For Non-Medical: 1st class Master’s degree in Life Sciences with 2 years’ experience or 2nd class Master’s Degree with Ph.D. in a relevant subject or BDS/B.V.Sc degree with one year experience.

Desirable Qualification:

• Thorough experience in wet lab (approx. 03-05 years) with good analytical abilities.
• Knowledge in library preparation for genome sequencing, Microarray techniques.
• Experience working in a cell culture laboratory.
• Knowledge of primer designing and in-house development & standardization of experiments.
• Experience in dealing with human samples.

Upper Age Limit: 35 years

2. Research Assistant

Qualifications:

• MSc. in a relevant subject.

Desirable Qualification:

• Experience in virology, molecular techniques, and cell culture (minimum of three-year experience after MSc.).
• Working knowledge of basic molecular experimentation.
• Basic knowledge of lab accreditation.
• Knowledge of computer applications or data management.

Upper Age Limit: 30 years

3. Laboratory Technician

Qualifications:

• BSc. DMLT OR PGDMLT from a recognized university.

Desirable Qualification:

• 5 years of experience in Microbiology work.
• Training in virology, molecular techniques, and cell culture.
• Knowledge of computer application.

Upper Age Limit: 30 years

4. Data Entry Operator- Grade A

Qualifications:

• Intermediate or 12th pass from a recognized board.
• A speed test of not less than 15000 key depressions per hour through a speed test on a computer.

Desirable Qualification:

• Experience in medical record keeping and filing of research files.
• Knowledge of NIE portal and other relevant portals for data entry.

Upper Age Limit: 25 years

5. Multi-tasking Staff

Qualifications:

• High School/ Matric/equivalent from a recognized board.

Desirable Qualification:

• Knowledge of maintaining files and records.
• Basic knowledge of computer.
• Lab equipment cleaning.

Upper Age Limit: 25 years

General Terms and Conditions

1. Appointments are purely temporary, and there is no right to claim any regular appointment in GIMS, Greater Noida.
2. The candidate appointed shall work as per the duty assigned by the Nodal Officer, VRDL/PI.
3. No T.A/D. A will be paid for attending the interview or for joining the post.
4. Application fee of Rs. 1000/- should be submitted through a demand draft in favor of The Director, Government Institute of Medical Sciences, Greater Noida.

6. Date, Time, and Place of Interview: Will be intimated to the shortlisted candidates.
