Key Responsibilities
Formulation Development Activities
- Design, develop, and optimize sterile dosage forms for global markets (US, EU, Canada, Brazil, ROW)
- Conduct pre-formulation, compatibility studies, and scale-up for pilot and commercial batches
- Execute literature searches for formulation strategies and development approaches
Documentation & Regulatory Support
- Prepare technical documentation for regulatory submissions (CTD, ANDA, etc.)
- Ensure regulatory compliance with global guidelines during formulation development
- Support preparation of tech transfer and scale-up documentation
Stability & Analytical Collaboration
- Conduct stability studies and interpret results
- Coordinate with analytical and regulatory teams for project alignment
- Assist in design and execution of pre-clinical and clinical trials related to F&D
Cross-Functional Teamwork
- Troubleshoot formulation issues during technology transfer or manufacturing
- Collaborate with QA/QC, RA, and manufacturing to ensure project timelines are met
- Stay updated with innovations and regulatory changes in pharmaceutical formulation science
Required Qualifications & Skills
Educational Background:
- M.Pharm (Pharmaceutics, Industrial Pharmacy, or equivalent specialization)
Experience:
- 3 to 7 years of experience specifically in sterile/injectable formulation development
- Must have exposure to global regulatory standards and practices
Key Competencies:
- Strong knowledge of GMP, GLP, ICH guidelines
- Proficient in scientific writing and technical documentation
- Ability to manage multiple projects and timelines
- Good communication and problem-solving skills
