About the Role

Clarivate is seeking a talented Associate STEM Content Analyst (GENSEQ) to join its Intellectual Property Group (IPG). This position involves working with GENESEQ, an advanced database containing biological sequence information from patents.

Key Responsibilities

• Apply biotechnology, genetics, and molecular biology concepts to extract and curate biological sequence data from patent documents.
• Index and analyze nucleic acid and amino acid sequences from various scientific sources.
• Work with publicly available databases such as NCBI Taxonomy, PubMed, and other secondary research sources.
• Ensure compliance with editorial policies and maintain consistency in indexing.
• Meet weekly production and quality targets.

Eligibility Criteria

Required Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Biotechnology, Bioinformatics, Microbiology, Genetics, Molecular Biology, or Biochemistry.
• Freshers or candidates with up to 1 year of experience in patent indexing, gene sequencing, or biological data analysis.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in patent indexing, gene sequencing, and disease indexing.
• Strong analytical and research skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office and working with PDF/TIFF images.
• Familiarity with databases like NCBI Taxonomy, PubMed.
• Ability to work efficiently under deadlines and ensure accuracy in data curation.

About the GENESEQ Team

The GENESEQ team at Clarivate is a crucial part of the Intellectual Property Group (IPG). The team specializes in curating nucleic acid and amino acid sequences from patents. Currently, the team consists of 37 members with expertise in biotechnology, microbiology, genetics, and molecular biology.

Work Schedule

• Work Type: Hybrid (Remote & Office Work)
• Location: Chennai
• Shift Timing: 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM IST (including a 1-hour break)
