Key Responsibilities of an Analytical R&D Scientist at USP
As an Analytical Research & Development Scientist at USP, you will play a critical role in supporting the development of reference materials and analytical methods. Your responsibilities will include:
- Analytical Method Development: Develop and validate analytical methods for in-process samples from synthetic labs.
- Reaction Monitoring: Support reaction monitoring, scale-up, and final analysis of samples as per monograph or in-house procedures.
- Instrumentation: Operate and maintain analytical instruments such as HPLC, GC, FTIR, UV-visible, and wet chemistry equipment.
- Documentation: Prepare development reports, SOPs, protocols, and other documentation required for projects.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure compliance with GLP/GMP standards and participate in ISO-9001 certification/recertification processes.
- Project Execution: Execute projects per approved test protocols and coordinate with cross-functional teams as needed.
- Safety and Compliance: Maintain a safe and compliant laboratory environment by following safety procedures and ensuring proper equipment calibration.
Qualifications and Experience Required
To be considered for the Analytical R&D Scientist role at USP, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Educational Qualification:
- MSc in Analytical Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, or a related field, OR
- M.Pharm degree.
- Experience: 3-6 years of experience in analytical research and development, preferably in a GMP/GLP environment.
